His widely acclaimed music is often identified as the “sound of Tasmanian life”. His instrumental compositions are a reflection of his feelings for his home and family, and of the environment and lifestyle of his much loved Tasmania.

Cary hand makes stringed instruments from Tasmanian timbers and facilitates bespoke small group guitar courses in his workshop at the foothills of kunanyi /Mount Wellington. Cary plays a hand crafted 7 string Huon Pine guitar.
